Jamie Foxx has bit his tongue long enough when it comes to criticism from Spike Lee on his latest film ‘Django Unchained’. Lee went on Twitter to bash the film last month and Foxx finally broke his silence in an interview with The Guardian earlier this week.

“The question for me is: where’s Spike Lee coming from? He didn’t like Whoopi Goldberg, he doesn’t like Tyler Perry, he doesn’t like anybody, I think he’s sort of run his course. I mean, I respect Spike, he’s a fantastic director. But he gets a little shady when he’s taking shots at his colleagues without looking at the work. To me, that’s irresponsible.”

Lee has also been outspoken about the use of ‘the N-word’ in the film. While he has used it in his movies Quentin Tarantino gets blasted for using it in ‘Django unchained’.

“I will say it again and again,” he said during an interview after the release of “Jackie Brown”. I have a definite problem with Quentin Tarantino’s excessive use of the n-word. And let the record show that I never said that he can not use that word — I’ve used that word in many of my films — but I think something is wrong with him.”

Lee is respected as an African American filmmaker while Foxx is arguably one of the hottest men in Hollywood. It’ll be interesting to see who sides with who as this gets even more polarizing heading into the Awards season.

After talking bad about Lady Gaga’s fans in recent weeks Kelly Osborne has begun to feel the wrath of Lady Gaga. Osborne has gone on record stating that Gaga’s fans have made jokes about her weight to which she didn’t like too much.

Apparently Lady Gaga had enough and wanted to clear the air between the two.

While I wish you had reached out to me personally, as the head of the Born This Way foundation with my mother Cynthia we would like to respond. Everyday, through my music and public voice I choose to be positive and work towards a kinder and braver world with our community of followers. I encourage them to ignore criticism, stand up to bullies, know their own value and see that we are all the same and no one person is worth more than another. I know I’m perceived as a wild child, but in reality I am woman that deeply cares for humanity. I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. “Appearance” is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals.
What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story?
I am pointing this out not to take a crack at your character, as we’ve met before and you’re lovely. However, I urge you to take responsibility and accountability for the example that you are setting for young people. They look up to you because you are famous, and if you treat others that way on TV, many adolescents at home on twitter assume your actions are acceptable: well if she does it, why can’t I? I cannot control my fans, and I discourage them from any negativity and violence, because that is wrong and hurtful — and I do feel baldy that your feelings were hurt. However, we can all do our part in the media to set a standard of respect, compassion, and love. I wish for you to be treated with the kindness and respect that everyone deserves.
While some of my fans have learning to do, most of them share the same values as I, and it’s what bonds us together. And that bond is strong.

Sharon Osborne, who has no problem jumping to her daughter’s defense, yesterday privately emailed Lady Gaga’s manager requesting that he ask the singer tweet to her fans encouraging them to be more respectful, saying “one tweet from Gaga can change this whole situation.”

It appears former UFC welterweight and lightweight champ BJ Penn has turned down a fight with perennial contender Josh Koscheck. Koscheck announced that he accepted the bout on Twitter only to have Penn shoot him down earlier today.

After an appearance at last month’s ACM Awards Miranda Lambert thought Ashton Kutcher was making fun of country music. Kutcher dressed up like a cowboy and sang George Strait’s ‘I Cross My Heart’ which didn’t impress Lambert at all. Lambert tweeted about it and Kutcher quickly proclaimed his innocence.

Rampage Jackson finally responded to Chael Sonnen after the UFC Middleweight #1 contender talked some trash about him earlier this week on MMA30.

Sonnen ignited the feud with this;

“You know, Quinton is really good, and I’m not sure why. I don’t have the foggiest idea what he’s good at. He can’t wrestle a lick, I don’t believe he knows any submissions, he’s got no real competitive boxing or kickboxing, but he is a fantastic fighter when you stick him in the cage and you turn him loose. You know, I think he’s got a place, but he’s a crybaby, he’s a real ‘poor me’ guy. He comes in, he takes all the money, he takes all the money, he takes all the spotlight, and it’s still not enough. And, you know, it’s coming down to, you know, guys showed him respect for a lot of years but now he’s just a nuisance. You know, you want to come around me talking that crap; I’ll smack you down so fast. You know, you think you have problems with Ryan Bader, you know don’t even try that stuff with some of us that have, you know, kicked and scratched and clawed while you, you know, you’ve been eating at the trough for years. Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva are back at it again. The two men have been going at it for two years over Sonnen’s outspokeness about Brazil. Silva doesn’t like the way Sonnen talks about his native country and recently said something about how Sonnen isn’t man enough to say stuff to his face. Of course the #1 middleweight contender had something to say about that;

Sonnen will face Anderson Silva on July 7th for the belt. If Wanderlei can get by Vitor Belfort maybe the two men can step into the octagon and settle their differences for all.

After Eric Church bashed her husband Blake Shelton in Rolling Stone Miranda Lambert came out swinging on Twitter today.

Lambert allowed Church to tour with her two years ago when the two were on the verge of becoming two of the hottest acts in country music. When Lambert got her start a few years ago she got her big break on a Country Music reality show, Nashville Star.

Church took a dig at Shelton and other country singers who got their big break on TV in this month’s Rolling Stone by saying the following;

“Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green turn around in a red chair, you got a deal? That’s crazy. I don’t know what would make an artist do that. You’re not an artist….If I was concerned about my legacy, there’s no way I would ever sit there [and be a reality-show judge]. Once your career becomes about some¬thing other than the music, then that’s what it is. I’ll never make that mistake.”

After seeing the interview Shelton tweeted a disappointing response;

Monday night Church issued an apology to Lambert, Shelton, and stars like Carrie Underwood who got their break on a reality show.

There are a lot of artists, due to their own perseverance, that have gone on to be successful after appearing on these shows, but the real obstacles come after the cameras stop rolling. Every artist has to follow up television appearances with dedication towards their craft, but these shows tend to gloss over that part and make it seem like you can be ordained into stardom. I have a problem with those perceived shortcuts, not just in the music industry. Many people have come to think they can just wake up and have things handed to them. I apologize to anybody I offended in trying to shed light on this issue. I am grateful for all of the artists and fans that have supported me along my journey and certainly did not mean for my comments to undermine their talent and achievements.”

What started out as a minor beef between Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea has now started to evolve into a feud between T.I. and Ms. Banks.

According to T.I. in an interview earlier today on WGCI’s Tony Sculfield & The Morning Riot show he blasted Banks but it didn’t take her too long to respond via Twitter.

“I mean I know they’re going through their thing, but the fact that she’s speaking upon me and mine and – I never – I ain’t even see it. That is what I consider – And excuse my language, but that’s bitch shit. You know what I’m saying? I’m a man.”
